This hotel has been on my bucket list for such a long time. And boy, it didn’t disappoint. this is not your ordinary Four Seasons, instead you’ll sleep in a (very luxurious) tent with views over Laos and Myanmar. There are only around 15 tents, all very private and so it gets never crowded. We booked the four-day adventure package which included e.g. Spa treatments, visiting the elephants twice, bike tour etc. The staff is incredible - so attentive, kind and welcoming. Special shoutout to the camp manager Poy, who is such a great host, making sure that everybody is having their best time. Also Norman, who is the funniest and most knowledgable guide, He can do it all: elephant guide, bike instructor or temple guide in Chiang Mai. Of course, the highlights are the visits to see the elephants. The six Four Seasons elephants belong also to a foundation, where „unemployed“ elephants can live their best life. Contrary to earlier days, you are no longe allowed to ride elephants (which I am very supportive of), but you can visit them in the grassland or up on the hill. There is only one restaurant for breakfast, lunch & dinner, however the menu is very diverse (not only Thai). Everything we tasted was 10/10. I highly recommend to stay 4 nights to make use of all the amenities and also it’s quite a trip to get there from BKK. Poy & team: thank you very much for making our stay unforgettable - we’ll cherish the memories forever!!

Perfect service with great and super friendly staff, the 'tents' are outstanding, the drinks at the Burma bar tasty, go for the excursion on the river/at the market, get a massage and, last but not least, spend a maximum time with the elephants!!! The sancturay really helps these great giants. 🥰🥰🥰

We stayed here almost a year ago (Oct 2022), and will be going back in Feb '24. I wrote a longer review on TripAdvisor, but just came here to upload a few photos, and to address the 1-star review about the interactions with the elephants (although FS already did a great job). Of course, in an ideal world, every animal would roam free, with no fear from us, the humans. But we don't live in that world, many species of elephants are endangered. Many, if not all, of the elephants here are rescued from abusive situations, and I doubt would survive in the true wild. I truly believe these elephants are extremely well looked after and are content. As for the resort itself, the best and most sublime we've every visited, and that's why we're going back, even though we really can't afford it 😊 The location is, obviously, stunning, but it's the complete package that makes this place - the accommodation, the staff, the food. They're all beyond 5 stars.

The stay here was absolutely amazing and first-class. From the moment the staff greets you at the dock to pick you up by boat to the minute you leave by shuttle van, everyone that works here has one goal in mind - to make sure your experience is incredible and unforgettable. Some notable employees that made us feel extra-special during our stay deserve praise for going above and beyond: Koon Ton - he spent almost an entire day with us showing us the rescue Elephants that are on the resort property, sharing fun facts about them with us and letting us play with them and wash them. He also took us on an incredible nature hike through the mountain side and educated us on the area of the Golden Triangle and its famous history in Thai, Laos, and Myanmar/Burma culture. Koon Nok & Koon Peang - they both helped us enjoy incredible hand-crafted cocktails at the Burma Bar located near the rooms. The rest of the staff that I couldn't get names for - your customer service was absolutely incredible, and I long for the day when I can come back and experience it again. Thank you!

I spent my 30th birthday celebration here and the experience couldn't have been better, every staff member I encountered was exceptional. The manager was honestly so lovely too, very humble and down to earth, genuinely trying her best to create the best experience for each and every guest. Four Seasons tends to be one of my favourite hotel chains but this one is truly a gem even within the FS portfolio. I've been very lucky to stay in many nice properties in the luxury category and I can say this is one of my top 3 easily. Thank you to everyone who made my experience exceptional, from the cleaners I never encountered who made the room up beautifully everyday, to North who helped plan my trip prior to arrival, right through to the wonderful staff who ran all the service operations on the ground. A big shout out to the guide who guy who took me on my walk with the elephant, so knowledgeable and patient, taking wonderful photos so we have lots of memories.

Pricy-but well worth it. The staff are incredible and make sure you don’t have to even think of planning anything. You will be well taken care of. From the moment we were picked up in Chiang Mai, I knew we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Took a cool boat ride to see the Golden Triangle and arrive in a fun way. Nice to spend time with the elephants and see the local temples. I fell asleep during the massage it was that good. The tent was also very comfortable with climate control! I have been on safari as stayed in a lot of different tented camps- let me tell you this is a nice one. Food is also delicious. Plan to come here at least once in your life.
